This small pendant is among one of Arman's earliest jewels, produced in the mid-1960s during an illness that had confined him to bed. In an effort to amuse himself he dismantled watches and used these pieces together with other watch-making parts to create miniature assemblages that were set into clear Perspex and then mounted in gold.
